Rhys Kissell
Rhys Kissell is the founder of Panop. He is a former Royal Australian Navy engineering officer with experience in radiofrequency systems, artificial intelligence, electronic warfare and software engineering. He has previously worked in roles at Boeing, Special Operations Command, and Army Headquarters.
Rhys is a two-time winner of the AOC Australia-New Zealand Electronic Warfare Essay Competition, a contributor to the Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge, and has published work on hydroacoustics.
KS
KS is a former member of the Australian Army and his identity has been preserved.
KS is an electronic warfare and software engineer with operational experience in the land domain. During his time in the Army, he developed novel approaches to dismounted electronic attack.
He brings deep expertise in digital signal processing and hands-on EW operations to Panop’s development effort.
JP
JP is a serving member in the Australian Army and his identity has been preserved.
He possesses deep experience in tactical command and control, computers and communications (C4) systems, and an in-depth understanding of computer systems utilised in special operations contexts.
His expertise helps ensure PlatypOS remains scalable to any deployment, under any conditions on the battlefield, and integrable with any system.
JM
JM is a serving member of the Royal Australian Navy and his identity has been preserved.
JM has over a decade of operational experience with maritime electronic warfare systems, tactics and technical analyses.
He has held senior electronic warfare roles within the Royal Australian Navy and has directly shaped how the service conducts electronic warfare at sea. His operational insights are invaluable to Panop’s technology developments.
TL
TL is a computer scientist with expertise in machine learning, cybersecurity, and high-performance distributed computing. He is a former researcher at IBM Research, and has published extensively on distributed anomaly detection, edge intelligence, and the application of machine learning to network security.
His work at Panop directly shapes the architecture of our AI and signal processing systems, from model design to edge deployment.
