Canberra Dynamics has formally rebranded as Panop. The change reflects the company's growth beyond its origins as a specialist engineering consultancy and its emergence as a sovereign developer of advanced electromagnetic and autonomous systems for defence and national security customers.
The new identity captures the company's expanded mission: "Innovating for peace. Engineering for deterrence."
Panop continues to design and build software-defined systems that give operators and commanders real-time visibility and control of the electromagnetic spectrum. Its technologies combine artificial intelligence, modern software engineering, and commercially available hardware to deliver capabilities that are faster to deploy, easier to sustain, and more cost-effective than traditional defence systems.
The name Panop draws from two origins.
- From panoply — a complete set of armour — it signifies protection, readiness, and capability.
- From Argus Panoptes — the all-seeing giant of Greek mythology — it reflects vigilance, awareness, and the ability to observe across every domain.
Together, these ideas capture Panop's purpose: to equip those who defend democracy with clarity and technological advantage.
All of Panop's work remains based in Australia, with ongoing development and movement towards operational testing alongside trusted partners, including international trials in active environments. The company will continue to deliver both engineering solutions and technical services across the electromagnetic, information, and autonomy domains.
The rebrand also introduces a new website, visual identity, and communications framework that unify Panop's engineering, advisory, and research efforts under one banner.
